Have Somebody to Love

In this life, have somebody to love,
For love is the fire
That makes our hearts glow.

The support that it gives
In moments that are bleak,
The hope that it brings
When despair reaches deep.

Love can conquer
The hate, the envy, the greed;
For when we care for one another,
There is enough for every need.

A hand that is offered,
A burden we share,
Makes this difficult world
A little easier to bear.

So in this life, have somebody to love,
And be somebody’s love too—
For the good that we give to another
Somehow finds its way back to you.
